River of Life Homes is Expanding

River of Life Homes for homeless women and children seeks to expand with counseling center,...

Our Accomplishments

We have helped seeral families since the shelter opened in 2006. Most of them have been able to become self- dependent. Some of the women that have come to the shelter went back to school, completed their education, obtained a degree and secured employment. You and I can make a difference in the lives of women and children who are fleeing from domestic violence situations.

Examples of our accomplishments are as follows:

   Client Impact Stories:

Woman: Encountered domestic violence, had no place to live, was on fixed income, did not know financial management. She came to River of Life Homes Shelter , participated in some of our life skill classes, such as Bible Teaching Classes, Financial Management, and Health Classes. She gave her life to Jesus Christ. She is now self-dependent and living in her own place.

Woman: Came to River of Life Homes Shelter to escape from domestic violence. She also went through our some of our life skill classes. She went to school and completed her Nurses’ Assistance Training. She is now with her family, furthering her education.

Woman: She and her 3 children transferred from another shelter to River of Life Homes Shelter due to domestic violence. She participated in our life skill classes. She and her children gave their lives to Jesus Christ. She got a job, and moved to her own place. He received a Presidential Award, from his school this year.

Woman: River of Life Homes provided shelter for her and her 4 children. She was hard-working, and took the necessary steps to become self-dependent. She moved to her own place within a very short period.

Woman: Transferred from another shelter to River of Life Homes due to domestic violence. She participated in our life skill classes. She worked, and completed her medical school, passed her exams. She is now an intern to practice medicine.
